I've never had so much trouble getting a website working properly! After a week of struggles trying to get the domain nameservers working, I gave up, prayed (I should have done that in the first place!) and then went to my domain provider's website and just started clicking on everything to see what it would say, and/or do.

I found this neat little tab that said 'Forward'. I clicked on that and it gave me the option to forward the awkward, free domain my webhost gave me to my paid domain name shimrithanes.com (It's so nice to have an unusual name, so I could get my name as the domain name!) 

I did that and, as you can see, this morning, my website is now up! Whoot! 

It's actually been up all along, but not at lovely, simple paid domain name. If you look at the actual web address above, you'll see this: https://555aa1714b.author-pages.com/ This is the free web address given by my website provider. I did NOT want that monstrosity for my web address! It looks more like a passcode! Oy!

On to happier things. I'm sitting in a tent right now. The rain is hammering on the heavy tarp my husband Mark uses to cover our tent and keep it dry. It works! We're sitting side by side on our large heavy-duty air bed and he's playing solitaire on his phone as I write this post.

He says: "I think it's raining," as we are deafened by the buckets drumming a cacophany on our tarp! But this is the first day it has rained like this. We've had beautiful days of fishing, swimming, and just relaxing. Is it hot? Yes! But, Mark brought a small window air conditioner and our tent has a screened vent in one bottom corner. He set up the air conditioner there and it's helped us stay cool enough to be comfortable. He says he won't book a campsite here in July again! 

Why did he book in July? Because when we first moved to Florida, we would camp in the Keys once a year, but we haven't been here in eight or nine years and I really missed it! So for our 49th wedding anniversary, he booked a site here.
