Book Formatting for Indie Authors

• I start with a phone or video call to discuss layout, design, fonts, and trim size with you.
• I charge 300.00 for each project  including color or black and white illustrations (not full page illustrations with bleed.) 
• I work with you to choose fonts, layout, scene breaks, and chapter headings with or without graphics. 
• If you want a special title page with graphics, it will take an additional two to three days on my end, depending on how much back and forth we do, and the complexity of the page. I create this for you at no additional charge. 
• You pay 150.00 when you email me your manuscript with the book trim size, fonts you'd like to use, and any illustrations. Then another 150.00 when you receive the finished product and are satisfied. You are allowed two revisions with no extra charge if you change your mind about a font, graphic, or paragraph break.
• If you, as two other authors have done, get your book from the publisher and a family member finds that (to your chagrin) additional editing needs to be done, when you're finished re-editing, I only charge an additional 150.00 to re-format the edited manuscript, as the set-up for your book is already done.
• If there is a formatting issue on my end, I fix it free.  

I usually have a week turn-around time on a simple format (long or short book). That is text only with scene breaks and a decorative element in the chapter heading. You'll see two of those in the children's book and romance samples on this page.
